Heather Bloom
Heather is co-owner of West Michigan Dive Center with her husband
Dan. She is a travel coordinator and PADI Divemaster
at the store. Heather enjoys booking individual and group
travel for divers, snorkelers and their family and friends.
Her favorite part of her job is leading group trips to places all
over the world. Sometimes she even gets to travel with Dan
and her children, Daniel and David .
Heather has a degree in biology which goes hand in hand with her
love for diving! Heather began diving in 1988, being certified
NAUI. She and Dan started diving in great places like Gull
Lake, MI. Before children, they went to the West Palm Beach
for their first ocean diving. It was incredible! After
children were born, Dan and Heather decided to take the plunge and
buy West Michigan Dive Center. So they sold their home in
Kalamazoo, and headed to Muskegon to live their dream! She
will say that it has been the hardest thing they have ever done,
but the BEST! The friends she and Dan have made over the years
are priceless!
Heather has traveled throughout the beautiful Caribbean and a bit
of the incredible Pacific. She enjoys diving (with a drysuit)
in the Great Lakes, too. Someday, Heather hopes to have traveled
to as many places as the other WMDC travel coordinator, Colin DeVries!
She is also deeply committed to the West Michigan Artificial Reef
Society, hoping to create an underwater dive preserve in the Muskegon
area of Lake Michigan, by sinking cleaned, decommissioned vessels.
Feel free to contact Heather for individual or group travel at
hbscuba@aol.com . Join
her on a group dive trip for a fun and fabulous group trip experience!
