Dan Bloom
Dan (Diver Dan) is co-owner of West Michigan Dive Center along with his wife, Heather Bloom.  They have owned the store since September 1995.  Dan has been diving since 1987.

It is amazing that Dan ever became a diver.  He was afraid to go in the water over his head and could not swim.  The first night of his first scuba class the instructor sent him home and said come back when you can swim.  And now Dan is a certified cave diver and a PADI Instructor.

When not working at the store you can find Dan diving off Heather’s and Dan’s boat (Divers’ Dream) and traveling on great dive trips to Truk Lagoon, the Galapagos Islands, Bonaire, the Straits of Mackinaw, the caves in Akumal, Mexico, and other destinations.

Dan has been a PADI Instructor since November of 1997.  He obtained the PADI MSDT rating July 1999.  Dan is certified to teach 18 PADI Specialties.  His favorite Specialties to teach are Wreck, Search & Recovery, Nitrox, and Equipment Specialist.  But, he enjoys teaching all of the classes.
