I thoroughly enjoy the sport of scuba diving. I begin back when
the sport was not as popular as it is now and there were few divers
to share the sport with until my wife Charlotte joined me. Once
I began diving, the other recreational actives fell by the wayside.
I sold my golf clubs and dove every chance I could.
I have done different types of diving over the years: commercial,
law enforcement dive team, instructional, search and recovery. I
have been a scuba instructor at WMDC for 25 years and enjoy helping
others to enjoy the sport I love. Over that period of time I have
certified more than 1100 divers.
People who dive are some of the friendliest and fun loving people
there are. I have had the pleasure to meet many wonderful divers
including Jacques Cousteau (the father of scuba) and the ex prime
minister of Canada, Pierre Trudeau.
My favorite underwater activity is photography. The specialty classes
I like to teach best are: Deep, Wreck and Search & Recovery.
Diving and travel go hand in hand. I have worked as a travel coordinator
for groups and individual for twenty years. This has allowed me
to travel to many exotic locations. I have dove on all continents
but Europe and Antarctica. Perhaps this should be my future goal
but that last one is a bit cold.
