Bob Carter
Bob
was first certified in 1970 while at Michigan Technical University.
Since then, he has been diving all over the Great Lakes, specializing
in wrecks, archaeology, and unique geologic formations. He continued
diving while in the service, frequenting exotic sites in Hawaii,
Guam, and the North Atlantic. He later moved to the East Coast,
and took opportunities to dive to dive in the Mediterranean, Adriatic,
and Black seas, as well as wrecks off the American coastline. He
continued his formal diving education in 1996, and obtained his
Divemaster rating in 2000.
Although a cold water diver for the most part, in recent years
he has been known to sneak off to the Caribbean to escape winter's
cold and snow. He also enjoys diving in local lakes and helping
out with dive classes at West Michigan Dive Center. For him, it
does not take much of an excuse to go diving.
