Equipment Servicing
Once you have your own dive gear, it needs proper maintenance to
ensure it stays in good working order. We can inspect your tanks,
service your regulator and BC, and more.
Regulators should be serviced once a year or every 40 dives. Some
manufacturers offer free parts if the regulator is serviced each
year. The regulator must be serviced every year, and must have been
purchased at a dive center (not mail order or internet). If you
use your regulator in the ocean (salt water environment), it is
best to have it serviced after you finish diving in the ocean. This
will guarantee that there is not any salt residue left to start
the corrosion process.
It is important to have your BCD serviced to keep the low pressure
inflator working properly. Just ask someone who has been on a dive
with a BC that inflated automatically or will not hold air. These
are very dangerous situations.
A BCD should be serviced once a year. If you have an Air Source
(Octo Inflator) on the BCD, follow the same guidelines as for regulators.
Do not just remove the low pressure inflator from the BCD to have
only this part serviced, as the BCD's bladder needs to be checked
as well to make sure it is not leaking air.
Your tank must have a hydrostatic pressure test every 5 years,
and a tank visual must be performed every year. Tank valves need
to be serviced when they start turning hard or leaking air. View
costs for tank services below.

Regulator
Testing
Our Regulator Test Bench is a great benefit divers. For only
$20 we can check the performance of your scuba regulator to determine
if it needs to be serviced. If your regulator does not perform properly
we can then service it for you. If your regulator passes -
you are set to go diving.
Let us test your regulator while you wait!
